Traveling Vietnam Memorial Wall
During the early to mid seventies, the headlines daily was splashed with news of the Vietnam War. According to the Vietnam Conflict Extract Data File of the Defense Casualty Analysis System (DCAS), there were over 58,000 Casualties lost during this war. The Mozark Music Festival’s Salute to the Seventies wants to pay tribute to the Men and Women who paid the ultimate sacrifice by giving their lives by bringing the Traveling Vietnam Memorial Wall to Missouri.
The Traveling Vietnam Memorial Wall is a 3/5 scale of the Vietnam Memorial in Washington DC, it stands six feet tall at the center and covers almost 300 feet from end to end. The Traveling Memorial stands as a reminder of the great sacrifices made during the Vietnam War. It was made for the purpose of helping heal and rekindle friendships and to allow people the opportunity to visit loved ones in their home town who otherwise may not be able to make the trip to Washington.
The Traveling Vietnam Memorial Wall is free to the public
